We live in a city that is characterized by its diversity and internationality. Bonn is not only a place with a rich history, but also a lively meeting place for people from all over the world. This makes it all the more important that information about the city is understandable and accessible to everyone - regardless of language. Until now, only a small part of the website, the "International Bonn" section, had multilingual content - the majority remained in German.

Now the solution is here - and it is already in use: the company Sitepark has developed a translation module for the CMS Infosite, which has recently become available on the city's website. The translations are carried out automatically and AI-supported via the software DeepL. All content is currently translated into ten languages - as soon as an article is created.

This means that even before an article goes online, it has already been translated into several languages. The selection of these ten languages is based on the population statistics in Bonn, so that the most widely spoken languages are specifically covered. This means that for the first time, Bonn is able to provide information efficiently and comprehensively in several languages.
