Since February 5, 2021, the City of Bonn has been connected to the special electronic mailbox for public authorities, beBPo for short. Following the introductory phase, the City of Bonn now meets the requirements for securely communicating with courts, lawyers and notaries in electronic legal transactions just one year before the legal obligation to introduce it. In addition, it is also possible to communicate securely with other local authorities via beBPo.

The beBPo was set up at the City of Bonn in cooperation with IT.NRW and the umbrella organization of municipal IT service providers and Procilon.
