The Digital Day is supported by the "Digital for All" initiative, an alliance of more than 25 organizations from the fields of civil society, culture, science, business, welfare and the public sector. The declared aim is to promote digital participation. All people in Germany should be able to move confidently and independently in the digital world.

The "Prize for Digital Coexistence" is awarded annually in recognition of outstanding initiatives that promote digital participation and civic engagement with the help of digital technologies. The prize is awarded on the occasion of Digital Day. A high-caliber jury decides who wins.
