BONNmobil (opens in a new tab) is one of the first multimodal mobility platforms in Germany. The free app from Stadtwerke Bonn presents everything that offers transport, information and orientation in the City of Bonn. In 2019, users accessed BONNmobil 21 million times to search for their public transport connection, locate places of interest, reserve a Nextbike or use the route planner.

The new version of the app planned for 2021 will include a carbon footprint for planned routes. "This will give Bonn residents the opportunity to make their mobility behavior more sustainable and get closer to the SWB motto 'Experience mobility digitally and reduce CO2 together'," says Georg Bechthold, Head of Marketing Services at the SWB Group. In addition, all mobility offers can now be combined, booked and paid for. "This makes individual mobility chains possible with a single app," says Bechthold.
