The City of Bonn draws attention to the craftsmen's parking permit.

The City of Bonn is drawing attention to the craftsmen's parking permit. The document, which can be applied for online, gives craft businesses based in Bonn special parking authorizations for their service and workshop vehicles.

The craftsmen's parking permit can be used to park free of charge in restricted no-parking zones, in public parking spaces where parking discs are compulsory, at parking meters and in the area of parking ticket machines without observing the maximum duration or in residents' parking spaces. However, the exemption only applies if there is no other parking facility available within a reasonable distance and only for the duration of the work assignment. It does not allow the vehicle to be parked in the area of the business premises.
A maximum of five vehicles can be registered on one permit, whereby each permit is only valid in one vehicle and in the original. If several vehicles are used, each additional vehicle requires its own permit. The permit can be issued for the whole of NRW (cost: 350 euros for the first permit, 175 euros for each additional permit) or for the administrative district of Cologne (cost: 305 euros for the first permit, 153 euros for each additional permit).

The following is required for the application:

  • Copy of the craftsman's card for craft businesses
  • Copy of the business registration for similar businesses
  • Copies of the vehicle registration certificate/registration certificate part 1
  • Current photos of the service/workshop vehicles, on which the official
license plates and the fixed company lettering are visible
